Why call EcoBuild for your toilet

An overflowing or blocked toilet will not wait until Monday. We answer nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Fixed first time

Fill valves, flush valves, seals and connectors carried on the van, so most jobs do not need a second visit.

Clear pricing

You know what it will cost before we start. The invoice matches what you agreed to.

Done properly

Parts that match your toilet, seals that last, and everything tested before we leave.

Clean and tidy

Floors protected, old parts taken away, and the bathroom left as we found it.

Toilet repairs we carry out

Most toilet faults come down to a handful of parts inside the cistern or a seal underneath. We find which one and replace it, rather than selling you a new toilet you do not need.

Running toilets

A cistern that keeps filling or trickles into the pan wastes a surprising amount of water. Usually it is a worn fill valve or flush valve seal, and we carry the common parts so it is fixed on the first visit.

  • Fill valves replaced
  • Flush valve seals and siphons
  • Water level set correctly

Blocked toilets

Cleared with the right tool for the job, from a pressure plunger to a drain auger, without chemicals that damage the pan or the pipework. If the blockage is further down the drain, we will tell you.

  • Pressure plungers and augers
  • No harsh chemicals
  • Checked for a deeper drain problem

Leaking toilets

Water round the base, drips from the cistern or a damp ceiling underneath. We find where it is coming from, whether that is the pan connector, the cistern seal or the supply, and fix it properly.

  • Pan connectors and seals
  • Cistern to pan leaks
  • Supply pipes and isolation valves

We also repair

  • Flush buttons and handles that stick or do nothing
  • Weak or double flushing
  • Overflowing cisterns and overflow pipes
  • Loose, wobbling toilets
  • Broken and loose toilet seats
  • Cracked cisterns and pans
  • Concealed cisterns behind access panels
  • Noisy filling and water hammer

Toilet overflowing right now?

Stop the water. Look for the isolation valve on the pipe feeding the cistern and turn the slot a quarter turn with a flat screwdriver or coin. If there is not one, turn off the stopcock, usually under the kitchen sink.

Do not flush again. If the toilet is blocked, every flush adds more water to the pan.

Then call us on 079 1616 8585. We are available 24 hours a day across London.

Toilet installation

New toilets fitted level, sealed and tested, with the old one taken away.

New and replacement toilets

A close-coupled toilet swapped like for like, or a new style to suit a refurbished room. The old toilet is taken away, the new one fitted level with a new pan connector and supply, and everything sealed and tested.

  • Close-coupled and back-to-wall
  • Old toilet removed and taken away
  • New connector, valve and seal

Wall-hung toilets and concealed cisterns

The cistern is hidden inside a frame in the wall, which makes the room look bigger and the floor easy to clean. The frame has to be fixed solidly and the access panel positioned so the cistern can still be serviced.

  • Frames fixed to take the load
  • Access to the cistern kept
  • Flush plates in every finish

Upgrades and designer toilets

Rimless pans that are easier to keep clean, dual-flush cisterns that use less water, soft-close seats, and statement finishes like matt black. Tell us what you like and we will tell you what fits your space and your pipework.

  • Rimless and dual-flush
  • Soft-close seats
  • Coloured and matt finishes

How a toilet repair works

You call us

Tell us what the toilet is doing. We will give you an idea of cost and timing on the phone, and book a time that suits you.

We find the fault

Fill valve, flush valve, seal or blockage. We look properly rather than guess, and tell you what is wrong and what it needs.

Repair or replace

If a repair is worthwhile we do it, using parts that match your toilet. If the toilet is past saving, we explain the options and agree the price first.

Tested and tidied

Everything is tested for leaks and a proper flush before we leave. Old parts are taken away and the floor is left clean.

Need a toilet fixed or fitted?

Call us, or WhatsApp a photo of the problem, and we will tell you what it will cost before anyone sets off.

What affects the price

We look at the problem, tell you what it needs and what it will cost, and only then start work.

What we look atWhy it changes the cost
Repair or replaceMost faults are a single part. A cracked pan or cistern, or a very old toilet with no parts available, is usually better replaced.
Type of toiletA close-coupled cistern is easy to get into. A concealed cistern means working through the access panel, or opening the boxing if there is not one.
PartsStandard fill and flush valves are inexpensive. Brand-specific parts for some concealed cisterns cost more.
BlockagesA blockage in the pan is quick. One further down in the drain takes more time and equipment.
New positionMoving a toilet means a new waste run, which depends on how far it goes and what the floor is made of.
